And not able to forget moments

I might not ask you to lend me an ear,
For I know you have stories of your own,
I might not ask you to hold me tight,
For I know the distances between has grown,
It did take long for my words to reach your heart,
And before we could say anything,
We had to depart,
The distance was probably just a tact,
We were never meant to be together,
Not that day is an easy one
Yet it comes and give the best it can,
Not that I would always stand strong,
I am just trying to get along...
Along the ups and downs I am offered
